Beckley Woman Is In Jail After Stalking A Summer’s County Woman And Threatening To Kill Her And Family

HINTON, WV (WOAY) – A woman is in jail after she stalked another woman her for nine months and threatened to shoot her and her family with a gun.

Court documents state that Glendy Africano, 41, of Beckley began stalking a woman in Summers County.  On August 30, 2017, Africano showed up at the victim’s house and told her that she needed to speak with her about her boyfriend and that it was important because she was his counselor.   The victim allowed the suspect to enter the residence at which point Africano told her what was in the residence and where and that she has been having a sexual relationship with the victim’s boyfriend.

Africano started making threats that if she continued to be with her boyfriend then bad things were going to happen to the victim and children.  The victim asked Africano to leave at which point Africano pulled out a firearm and told her she was going to kill her and that she needed to break it off or she would pay.  The Victim attempted to leave and Africano told her she wasn’t going anywhere and asked her to call the boyfriend.  Africano told the woman that if she called 911 then she would kill her.

The suspect told officials that Africano held her in the residence for over an hour making threats to kill her and her children.

After Africano left the residence she continued to follow and make threats of killing the victim and her family by showing up at the victim’s workplace.  The victim quit her job in fear of being hurt or killed.

Africano is charged with Wanton Endangerment involving a firearm, unlawful restraint, and stalking. She is being held in the Southern Regional Jail under no bond.
