Beckley welcomes new food truck

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – The Beckley-Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce welcomed a new member this morning.

Philipo’s is a new food truck serving Italian cuisine to Beckley and the surrounding area. The idea comes from old family recipes Philip Culicerto is excited to share with the community.

“A lot of this has to do with my grandmother, because I sat and watched her, like everybody, they watch their grandmother cook,” said Culicerto. “The ‘Philipo’ part came from my grandfather who was Sicilian. I would come in the house and he would say with the biggest smile ‘hey, Philipo!'”

After the ribbon cutting, Culicerto got to work serving his first customers. You can find out where he’ll set up next by following his Facebook page.
