Beckley, WV (WOAY)- Due to those dropping temperatures, the Beckley Warming Center is opening tonight for those who need shelter from the cold.
The center is at 217 S. Heber Street, in the Beckley Community United Methodist Church’s Fellowship Hall.
The building serves as a warming center overnight when temperatures are below 15 degrees, including wind chill.
The shelter opens at 8:00 pm and will remain overnight until 7:00 am.
Volunteers are crucial to ensuring the shelter can open on nights like these and adequately staff the facility.
