Beckley VA to Host Holiday Open House, Food Drive at Greenbrier County Clinic

BECKLEY, W.Va. – The Beckley VA Medical Center will host a Holiday Open House at the Greenbrier County VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic on Monday, December 11 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The Holiday Open House is an opportunity for Veterans and the public to learn more about the Greenbrier County Clinic and health care options and resources it offers. VA employees will be present to interact and answer questions about the clinic, which opened in May 2017. The clinic sees more than 1,200 patients, has 14 full-time employees, and offers a full-range of primary care services. The space is also used for VA employees who do home-based primary care and telehealth in the area.

Leading up to the open house, the public is encouraged to drop off non-perishable food items at the community-based clinic, located at 228 Shamrock Ln, Ronceverte, WV 24970. The Greenbrier County clinic is partnering with the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine’s student national honor and service fraternity, Sigma Sigma Phi, as the recipient of the donations. Every year Sigma Sigma Phi organizes “Heart of the Holidays,” their signature community service event, which helps Greenbrier County families who are in need by providing toys, food and monetary support for the holiday season.

Veteran Canteen Services will be providing refreshments during the Open House.
