Beckley Police Warning Residents Of Skimming Devices At Local Gas Stations

UPDATE: The Shell Gas Station in Harper Road is another gas station that had skimming devices installed on pumps.


BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – The Beckley Police Department is warning residents of skimming devices being installed at gas stations in our area.

Beckley Police says over the past several days we have taken reports in reference to cloned credit cards being used in the area. This activity is indicative of a gas pump and/or ATM skimming devices being installed within the local area.

On 6/19/2018 The West Virginia State Police and Beckley Police Department located two gas pump skimmers at the One Stop on Eisenhower Drive.

Anyone who purchased fuel at this location is urged to check their credit card or bank statements and report any suspicious or fraudulent transactions to the Beckley Police Department.
