Beckley Police to conduct a sobriety checkpoint on December 7

Beckley, WV (WOAY)—The Beckley Police Department will conduct a sobriety checkpoint on Saturday, December 7, from 5:00 to 10:00 p.m.

The checkpoint will be located near the intersection of Second Street and Thornhill courts.

There will be an alternate location on Johnstown Road at Jefferson Street.

There will also be roving DUI patrols throughout the evening and night.

The purpose of the checkpoint is to deter impaired driving and educate the public about the dangers of driving while under the influence.
