Beckley, WV (WOAY) – The Beckley Police Department will be collecting stuffed animals to help a local agency that helps children and families.
According to a post on the Beckley Police Department’s Facebook Page, BPD will be partnering with Just for Kids located at 611 North Kanawha St. in Beckley.
Just for Kids is an organization that helps who have been in abusive situations by providing a safe space for forensic interviews. The stuffed animals will be given to children and once their interview is over to assist them in recovery.
The Beckley Police Department will accept donations of new and used stuffed animals. They ask that any used stuffed animals are clean and not missing any eyes, noses, etc.…
Collection containers will be set up in the lobby of Beckley PD located at 501 Neville St. from May 5 through May 16, 2025.
