Beckley Police Department Plans To Unveil Fallen Officer Memorial

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – The Beckley Police Department hopes to unveil the police officer memorial, which will be located outside of the new police headquarters during the grand opening.

The memorial will bear the names of the three Beckley Officers who’ve died in the line of duty.
– Det. Charles E. Smith II. August 29th, 2006
– Sgt. David L. Lilly May 12, 1975
– Ptl. Carl D. Buckland August 26th, 1956

The carved granite and brick memorial has a price tag of $30,000.00
