Beckley man confesses to setting fiance on fire in October

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – Dwayne Lane has confessed to setting his fiance on fire and killing her back in October, Raleigh County prosecutors tell WOAY.

A grand jury indicted the 47-year-old for murder, child neglect and domestic battery.

Belinda Cox was sent to the West Penn Burn Center in Pittsburgh after being set on fire, but died a few days later from a heart attack.

Lane is in isolation at the Southern Regional Jail.
