BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – A Raleigh County man is in jail after sexually assaulting a woman.
According to a criminal complaint, Police was called to Raleigh General Hospital in reference to a sexual assault call. The victim stated that Brandon Lee Reichard, 18, had raped her. Reichard wanted to have sex with the victim and asked if she wanted to make a baby. The victim told him no. Reichard then sexually assaulted her.
A text message exchange shows that Reichard apologized to the victim and told her he needs help.
Reichard is charged with sexual assault in the second degree and is being held in the Southern Regional Jail under a 50,000 dollar bond.
