BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – One man was arrested for grabbing a woman’s throat, slamming her on the bed, and dragging her down the steps.
Police were called to a home in Beckley for a domestic in progress. When they arrived they spoke to the victim. She stated that Joshua Hubbard came to her apartment under the influence and that when she asked him to leave, he became irate. She stated that he started to yell at her and grabbed her by the throat and slammed her on a bed. The victim’s mom came into the apartment and told Hubbard to get off of her daughter. Hubbard started hitting the mother. The victim stated that she went to the door and he grabbed her by the hair and started dragging her down the steps of the apartment.
The landlord came into the hallway and said he was calling 911 and Hubbard fled.
Hubbard was charged with domestic battery and battery. He is currently out on bond.
