BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – A Beckley man is facing charges after he allegedly stabbed a woman.
According to a criminal complaint, on Tuesday, July 7th, police responded to a domestic situation. When police arrived, Abdullah Halaibeh was sitting outside the residence, and the victim was being attended to by a family member.
The victim told police that Halaibeh and her got into a verbal altercation, and Halaibeh took a utility knife and stabbed her in the dining room. When police asked Halaibeh about the incident, he said he had nothing to say.
The victim was treated on scene by EMS and was then transported to a hospital.
Halaibeh was charged with unlawful wounding and domestic battery. He is currently in Southern Regional Jail under a 25,000 dollar bond.
