BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – Beckley Events is restarting their weekly event where they encourage food vendors to set up in a local park.
Typically Beckley does this every summer, but there were concerns this year due to COVID-19. But Beckley Events says if things go well this week, then it may continue further into August.
One food vendor called The Lunch Wagon is hopeful that they are allowed to continue.
“Well I’m hoping it’ll all pick back up like it normally does. I mean they’ve canceled so many things on us this year. We normally did chili night and everything. So it’s been a really slow year for us, it hit us kind of hard. But we’re hoping with them starting this back up that everything will start picking back up.”
The food vendors will also be at Word Park next Friday, July 31.
