Beckley Attorney appointed to magistrate position

BECKLEY, WV (WOAY) – A temporary magistrate has been named in Beckley.

Judge Andrew Dimlich tells WOAY that he has appointed Pat Lamp to fill the Division 2 magistrate seat.  The seat was left vacant after Steve Massey stepped down.

Lamp is an attorney in Beckley and was a public defender and assistant prosecutor.

Lamp will hold the position until December 31, 2020.  A new election will be held in November to elect a new magistrate and will be sworn in on January 2021.
