UPDATE: LOGAN, W.Va. (AP) — A West Virginia firefighter driving an ATV collided head-on into a tractor-trailer and died from his injuries.
News outlets report 46-year-old Ernie Woods crashed Saturday.
Troopers say the ATV lost control and swerved into the opposite lane causing the collision.
Logan Fire Chief Scott Beckett told WCHS that Woods was a Logan firefighter for 10 years, a former Logan police officer and an Army veteran.
Woods was on vacation and was supposed to get married next week.

SUMMERS COUNTY, W.Va. (WOAY) – An ATV accident sent one person to the hospital Saturday evening.
The Summers County 911 Center said around 5:30 p.m., first responders arrived at a scene of the accident. One person had to be airlifted.
