Appalachian Regional Healthcare and Marshall Health Network announced their collaboration to Provide Telehealth to children and teens in Summers County.

HINTON, WV (WOAY)- Appalachian Regional Healthcare and Marshall Health network are collaborating at a location in Hinton.

Their new collaboration is called Child and Adolescent Behavior Health Services. The program will help diagnose and treat children and teens ages 5-18 with anxiety, ADHD, conduct disorder, depression, OCD, ODD, and PTSD. They held a meet and greet at the Summers County ARH hospital, where guests could meet the providers and learn about their services. The providers people met were Sarah Barrnett, MA, Charity Morrison, PMHNP-BC, and Hillary Porter, DO.

They also had guest speakers David Conley, the West Virginia ARH Regional Clinic Administer, and Susan Flesher, MD, professor and Chair of Pediatrics at Marshall Health Network.

According to Conley, times have changed and the need to help children with their behavioral and mental health is greater now than 30-40 years ago.
