Sophia, WV (WOAY) Appalachian Power Company (APCo) has released a statement in response to reports that the company purchased Black Diamond Power in Sophia.
APCo states that while they are in discussions about a possible transaction and are discussing options, the company has not agreed with Black Diamond regarding a sale.
Black Diamond Power is an investor-owned electric utility.
APCo says that any transaction must go through “closing conditions and required regulatory approvals ” before a sale can be finalized.
