Another School Threat In Mercer County

BLUEFIELD, WV (WOAY) – Bluefield High School will have extra police on site today, due to another threat posted to social media.

“Mercer County Schools takes all potential threats seriously. In that vein, Mercer County Schools has instituted steps to help ensure student safety. Local law enforcement have been contacted and will be present today at Bluefield High School. School will operate on a regular schedule.” this was posted to the Mercer County Schools Facebook page.

On Tuesday, September 11, 2018, Princeton Police were called to the school after a bomb threat was made.
