Alzheimer’s and Dementia Conference

Raleigh General Hospital hosted an Alzheimer’s and Dementia caregiving conference on Monday morning.

Alzheimer’s and Dementia University for Families and Professionals is a one-day conference for family
caregivers and healthcare professionals.

This conference offers continuing education credits for physicians, nurses, and social workers.

Topics covered during the conference include recommendations for legal and financial planning, tips for working with healthcare providers, effective communications strategies, plus understanding and responding to dementia-related behaviors.

“So our message to people out there dealing with Alzheimer’s is you are no longer alone. The Alzheimer’s Association and the experts are here,” said JT Hunter the Family Services Coordinator at the Alzheimer’s Association.
