Alderson to Receive $1.2 Million for Flood Repair

WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) announced today that Alderson is receiving more than $1.2 million in federal funds to repair critical water systems damaged by the June 2016 flood.

Alderson will receive $1,261,338.75 from FEMA to repair the storm drainage system and sanitary collection line damaged during the flooding.

“These funds will help repair critical water and storm management infrastructure in Alderson. I will continue to work with our state and federal officials to make sure West Virginia receives the assistance we need to rebuild,” Rep. Jenkins said.
