West Virginia (WOAY)—Absentee ballots for November’s general election will be mailed out starting Friday, September 20.
Voters must be unable to vote in person for medical, work, or school reasons to qualify for an absentee ballot.
Residents temporarily traveling away from home can get a ballot delivered to an address outside their home county.
The deadline to apply for an absentee ballot is October 30.
Eligible voters should apply for an absentee ballot with their county clerk as soon as possible to avoid mailing delays.
October 15 is the general election voter registration deadline and the last day for voters to update their registration information.
