A Return to Wet Weather Coming Soon

WOAY-TV (Oak Hill, WV): Today will continue to stay dry and a little hazy as smoke still lingers, but will dissipate through the day. Temperatures will reach around 85 degrees as well, but the dry weather will make the heat a little more bearable. After today, however, we’ll see a pattern shift towards wet weather once again. Meteorologist Christian Boteler dives into the details:

Tomorrow will start nice with mostly sunny skies, but clouds will build up ahead of the slowly moving front and bring some showers late into the night for the region. Friday is when this front will become even slower, becoming a stationary front as showers and storms develop ahead of it. Some stronger storms with damaging winds and hail are possible through the day. The front will finally move through the area on Saturday, continuing the rainy and stormy conditions as it does. The chance for more strong storms is there, but these will likely be a little bit weaker.

The rain will continue to linger Sunday and Monday with some breaks in between showers. The front leaves Sunday, but a disturbance to the south may bring a few stray showers into the area to start the new work week. Tuesday of next week will continue the wet trend as another system moves through from the Great Lakes into our area, bringing more rain and possible storms. Here’s your 7-Day Forecast:
