A Local Boy Organizes Toy Drive

One local boy is teaming up with One Voice to make Christmas better for underprivileged children.

Tyler McKinney will be turning 10 years old this Saturday and he is using his birthday to help the
less fortunate.

He is asking for residents to come out and join him at the Fayetteville Town Park Pavillion this
Saturday from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm and drop off gifts.

The catch is, the gifts are not for him. They will be included in his Toy Drive collection which will be collected through December.

He will be giving the new, unwrapped, toys to children in local foster homes on Christmas Day.
Tyler said he just wants every kid to get toys on Christmas.

“I hope that every kid that don’t have any toys will get some so they can be like us and have toys,” said Tyler.

If you are unable to make it out for Tyler’s birthday party this weekend you will still be able to help. Tyler will be collecting the toys at both the Beckley and the Wyoming County locations of One Voice through December.
