A Fayette County man faces drug and other charges stemming from a traffic stop

OAK HILL, WV (WOAY) – Fayette County deputies received a call in Beckwith of a man going door to door asking for gas. They managed to locate the vehicle associated with this subject and conducted a traffic stop.

Deputies deployed K-9 Unit  “Arras” to conduct a vehicle scan.  After a positive indication was given by the K-9, a large quantity of marijuana and paraphernalia associated with heroin use was located.  The driver was then taken into custody.

The driver,  Paul E. Horne, 35, of Oak Hill, was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance, Driving While License Revoked, Improper Vehicle Registration, and no Vehicle Insurance. Further checks by deputies revealed that Horne had an active Capias for failure to appear in court.  He was remanded to the Southern Regional Jail following his arrest.
