8-year-old boy beats stage 4 brain cancer at Tennessee hospital

MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WZTV) – A young boy is now cancer free after battling a rare form of brain cancer at a Tennessee hospital.

Cameron Scott, only 8 years old, is currently undergoing treatment at St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.

Scott appeared on the “Today” show and said he “feels amazing.”

According to Cameron’s GoFundMe page, doctors discovered had a medulloblastoma last year – which spread to his spine. It’s considered a “high-risk stage 4 cancer.”

It took four hours of surgery to remove the tumors before Cameron was transferred to St. Jude. Once there, the youngster went through six months of chemotherapy and radiation, which was all covered by St. Jude.

Cameron’s now cancer-free.
