McDowell County Women Arrested After Repeatedly Stabbing Two Men During Robbery

MCDOWELL COUNTY — Two people are in the hospital after a home invasion in Crumpler on Sunday night.

State Police say they responded to a home invasion in Crumpler and found two men stabbed multiple times. They were incapacitated at the time and currently remain in the hospital.

A safe containing prescription medication and cash was stolen from the home. Two suspects wore masks during the encounter and then fled the scene.

Police spent the entire night searching for the suspects. They were found on Monday morning at their homes in Northfork and Kimball.

Brenda Evans, 22 from Northfork, and Shevon King, 41 from Kimball, are facing charges of attempted murder, first degree robbery, conspiracy, grand larceny, burglary and malicious wounding. They were each given a $100,000 bond.
