CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Two West Virginia men face at least five years in federal prison after admitting sending and receiving child pornography.
Authorities say 39-year-old Steven Lee Rhodes, of Clendenin, and 29-year-old Kenneth Frederick Stier, of Spencer, separately entered guilty pleas on Monday.
According to prosecutors, Rhodes admitted that in June 2015 he received a video of a prepubescent minor engaged in sex using a file-sharing program on his home computer and admitted possessing hundreds of similar images and videos.
Stier admitted in December 2016 distributing two videos of prepubescent minors engaged in sex using a messenger application on his cell phone. He also admitted possessing hundreds of similar images and videos.
They face five to 20 years in prison at sentencing in November and will have to register as sex offenders.
