$2 Million Granted to Community Health Systems in Beckley

WASHINGTON – U.S. Representative Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) announced today that Community Health Systems in Beckley has received more than $2 million to help serve rural West Virginians.

The $2,050,610 grant from the U.S. Health Services Resources Administration will allow Community Health Systems to continue to offer care to even more West Virginians.

“Centers like Community Health Systems fill a critical gap in healthcare in southern West Virginia, ensuing that low-income residents have consistent access to healthcare. I have voted repeatedly to guarantee funding for our community health centers throughout West Virginia and support the good work they do across our state. This grant will help Community Health Systems offer much-needed care to even more West Virginians,” Rep. Jenkins said.
