FAYETTE CO., WV (WOAY) – Gas prices have gone up just about every day this week thanks to Harvey.
In Fayetteville today, one station on Highway 19 had regular unleaded gas at $2.74 a gallon. It was $2.39 as recently as Sunday.
The increase is due to the storm shutting down refineries along the Texas gulf coast. No word on how high prices may go due to the disaster or how long they’ll be this high – or higher.
