17-Year-Old Dead After Two Car Crash

MERCER COUNTY, WV (WOAY) – Seven people were involved in a deadly car crash in Mercer County.

West Virginia State Police tell WOAY that the incident happened at around 6 pm Tuesday evening on Rt. 10 near Lake Bottom.  Police say a red, Honda Accord driven by Anthony Billings was turning into a private driveway when a Ford Focus, driven by Justin Akers hit them.

A 17-year-old died in result of the accident and six others were sent to the hospital.  Of the seven total involved, four were juveniles.

State Police tells WOAY that charges are pending against Billings.
