The Tazewell County Sheriff's Office arrested three men for their alleged involvement in the stealing of more than a thousand pounds of copper from a business earlier this month.

Jerry lucas, 33, Jerry Mitchem, 27, and James Lowmark, 23, all face charges stemming from the incident. The Tazewell County Sheriff's Office said the trio was pulled over for a routine traffic stop when burglary tools and narcotics were found in the car.

Lucas and Mitchem reportedly told deputies they stole spools of cooper from EIS in Bluefield and then sold it for $4,100 dollars at Brushfork Recycling. According to statements, all three of the men were planning to return to EIS again on the night they were caught.
