CHARLESTON - U.S. Rep. Shelley Moore Capito officially entered the race for U.S. Senate.
Capito filed her candidacy papers Thursday with the Secretary of State's Office. The seven-term republican is seeking the Senate seat that's being vacated by the retiring Jay Rockefeller. Three other people have filed to run for the same position.
Four republicans and two democrats filed to run for Capito's House seat in the 2nd District.
