RAINELLE - A ribbon cutting in Greenbrier County announced the opening of a greatly anticipated business.
The store manager at the Kroger shopping center in Rainelle said he is happy to see his customers finally being rewarded with a granted wish. A fuel station officially opened on Wednesday in the Kroger shopping plaza and offered special discounts to everyone with a Kroger card. Before this, Kroger shoppers had to travel 30 miles to the nearest fuel station in order to use their fuel points. Not only is this a convenient stop for shoppers, but management said it has created 7 - 8 more jobs within the town. Customers were the ones who fought for the fuel center to open, and employees said the growth within the community is a benefit all around.
“900-1000 of our customers travel out of town to but fuel at a fuel center so that ll keep them inside of town, it'll keep money in town and it'll just make it more convenient for our customers,” said Manager David Beavers.
Beavers said to celebrate their grand opening, Kroger fuel station will have promotional opportunities throughout the week.
