OAK HILL – Police in Fayette County are closing in on a suspect in the armed robbery that happened at the Co Mac liquor store Friday night.

Officials say the suspect is a short white man with a blonde goatee who weighs about 150 lbs.

Oak Hill Police Chief Michael Whisman says security cameras in the area are helping with the investigation, and they are using that footage to narrow in on the suspect.

“There are about four to five different businesses right in that little strip mall that has surveillance video, and we are in the process of obtaining that evidence right now.”

Police officials say they have strong evidence and a primary suspect, and an arrest could come within days.
