SCARBRO - A road closed in Fayette County continues to raise concern for area business.
New River Health Clinic is among the businesses affected by the road closure, as West Virginia Department of Highways works to construct a new bridge crossing the White Oak Creek. Officials at New River Health are concerned about everyone's safety along the narrow stretch of road.
“We can have a major accident right out here on this small two-way highway and what we want to avoid is anyone getting hurt. There are DOH people out there working, we wanna keep them safe and we want our patients two be safe, we want our staff to be safe, and we wanna be able to conduct business as usual,” said Operations Manager at the Clinic, Dana Treadway.
Officials said the road will be closed for months, and New River Health suggested using the Glen Jean exit along Route 19 to find the clinic.
