FAYETTEVILLE - Workers at the Women's Resource Center want to educate folks about National Stalking Awareness Month.
Sexual Assault and Stalking Advocate Twanna Warner-Burton said many people do not realize stalking does not only happen between couples and the internet has taken stalking to a whole new level.
Warner-Burton recommended folks should watch their surroundings to see if someone is around them a lot. She said about 85 percent of the victims she works with have been stalked, so she encouraged folks with questions to come forward. "We'd rather be safe than sorry," she said.
