ITMANN - Relatives of a couple whose house caught on fire are asking the community to help the family get back on their feet.

The fire happened January 3 at Harold Buchanon and his wife Vicky's house in Itmann, according to their niece Phoebe McLain. The house is no longer in a livable condition due to the fire and water damage.

McLain said the couple has received support from their family and the Red Cross, but they are asking locals for more assistance. An account is set up at the people's Bank of Mullens, which has locations in Mullens, Pineville and MacArthur.
