BECKLEY - A Raleigh Co. bridal store is making a difference in the lives of children battling cancer.
Jean Ann's Bridal is looking for donations and participants for its second-annual charity pageant and fourth-annual fashion show, all to benefit Emma's Touch. The organization is dedicated to the memory of Emma Vannatter who died from leukemia in 2008. With donations, Emma's Touch creates comfort kits that help ease the burden of children battling cancer.
Jennifer Skaggs, manager of Jean Ann’s says anything is appreciated, “Games, teddy bears, DVD players to drive back and forth, blankets, stuffed animals, anything you can think of that would make their time a little bit better when they're traveling, as well as their stay in that poor, small room that they spend most of their life in.”
The pageant is January 12 and the fashion show is January 26. For more information you can contact Jean Ann’s at (304) 255-0012.
