PRINCETON - A pub in Mercer County known by locals for its live performances will no longer be a weekend hangout after a late night fire destroyed its interior.

Leo's Pub and More, located on Athens Road in Princeton, caught fire around 6 p.m. when in the kitchen.

Its owners were at the scene of the fire and said Leo's has been a family business for the last 11 years. Although the women were too distraught to talk on camera, they told Newswatch it's a very sad loss for the family. About 75 people were at the pub on Friday night.

Santaya Morgan frequented the bar.

"The atmosphere here at Leo's -- it's just pretty much laid back," she told WOAY. "It's like a big, happy family. Everybody would just come in, have a few drinks, sit there and just talk like you've known them your whole entire life. Just sit back, chill and have a few drinks. It was good."

Linda Wilson, who says she is the owner's sister, would like to rebuild the place if the leaser is on board with the plan.
