BECKLEY - A West Virginia native who recently gained national attention is teaming up with music legends on day two of their holiday concert.
America's Got Talent winner Landau Eugene Murphy Jr. sang classics Saturday night alongside Ron McPhatter of The Drifters, Glenn Leonard of The Temptations and Joe Coleman of the Platters.
The foursome is rapping up a Christmas tour spot at Tamarack in front of a full house of 200 people.
Murphy told Newswatch the smaller shows are the best shows because there is a lot more to see.
"Those are the best shows because you actually get to see the whites of their eyes in the front row and you get to see the people in the back also, so it's just really an intimate setting, and that's where you kind of become even more nervouse because they're so close to you," he said.
