PAINT CREEK – All lanes have been opened on the West Virginia Turnpike following an accident Thursday evening that sent two people to the hospital.

The southbound lane of I-77 at mile marker 75 near Tunnel Hill in Kanawha County was closed since 8pm Thursday after a tractor trailer and a pickup truck collide.

John Lovelace with the Pax Fire Department tells Newswatch two people were taken to a Charleston hospital. The Pax, Pratt and East Bank Fire Departments all responded to the scene. State Police are handling the investigation. No word on the victims conditions.
