OAK HILL - A Fayette County man was arrested Wednesday night and charged with several felonies.
Thomas Wayne Shepherd, III, 22, of Oak Hill, was charged with five counts of forgery, five counts of uttering, two counts of computer fraud, and one count of identity theft. Sheriff Steve Kessler said that through their investigation into a complaint that an elderly woman was subjected to financial exploitation, investigators discovered that Shepherd stole several of this lady's checks and unlawfully accessed her credit card.
He's currently in Southern Regional Jail on $100,000 bond.
