OAK HILL - Time is running out to sign, seal, and deliver your holiday packages.
Today marked one of the busiest for USPS nationwide. An estimated 16 billion packages are being shipped today. Local carriers in Oak Hill are working hard to ensure your orders are delivered on time for Christmas. Oak Hill Post Office Acting Supervisor Charlotte Backus encourages priority mail at the very minimum.
"It's kind if iffy for the standard mail. You really should go with priority mail at the very minimum, but express mail is our premier service and it is guaranteed with two days from this office," Charlotte Backus.
Thursday, December 17th is the deadline for Christmas delivery, unless you go with express mail guaranteed Christmas day delivery. Keeping your curbside boxes and walk ways free of snow and ice will help carriers speed up the process.
