Sections of a major state interstate are set to be closed Monday following a scheduled rock blast earlier this week.
One lane of Interstate-77 northbound will remain open until 6 a.m., according to dispatchers. After that time, 77 north will be completely closed between exit one and exit nine. It is unsure if the closure is a result of rock in the roadway or more scheduled road work.
Traffic will be diverted to Route-460.
The road was closed Friday to dislodge a specific area of rock causing hazard. Department of Highways officials will decide Tuesday's closures on Monday, dispatchers told WOAY.
