GLEN DANIEL - Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying a man they say robbed a Raleigh County store at gunpoint late Friday night.

The suspect walked into Family Dollar on Bolt Road just before 10 p.m. and robbed store attendants at gunpoint. While demanding money, the unidentified man fired his gun twice inside the store and then made off on foot with at least $2,500 in cash, state police said.

The man is described as a white male wearing a camoflage outfit and hat and blue bandana, according to authorities. Police said they're taking the crime very seriously because a firearm was discharged.

"With the amount of crime and the limited officers we have in this county -- and this is for all the agencies -- the crime far outweighs the amount of officers we have, so it helps speed up the process for locating criminals, arresting them, processing them, solving crimes," Trooper J.B. Frye told WOAY.

Anyone with information is urged to contact State Police at 304-256-6700. Tipsters may remain anonymous.
