Kanawha Co. man arrested in Fayette Co.

CHARLETON HEIGHTS - A man wanted out of Kanawha County is arrested in Fayette county late Friday afternoon.

33-year-old Raymond Lee Legg, Jr., of Charleston was arrested around 4pm Friday. Sheriff Steve Kessler says, deputies received information that a fugitive from Kanawha County was at a residence in the Charleton Heights area of Fayette County.

Sergeant T.N. Mooney, Corporal S.R. Morris and Deputy L. A. Clay went to the residence where they were able to arrest Legg without incident. He was wanted for failure to appear in Kanawha County Circuit Court on a charge of Armed Robbery.

He was arraigned in the Magistrate Court of Fayette County and remanded to the Southern Regional Jail without bond.

Kessler says, "We are grateful to the public for letting us know where this violent criminal was hiding."
