CHARLESTON - Recycling efforts were expanded at the University of Charleston thanks to a grant from the state Department of Environmental Protection.
The school received almost $23,000 from the state agency's Recycling Assistance Program. Officials said that the money was going towards the purchase of a new utility vehicle trailer to haul recyclable materials across the school's campus. A new dump bin for materials like metal and glass will also be bought.
