A "Lively" Christmas

OAK HILL - A new "Lively" Christmas tradition for the family is in the making this holiday season. The Lively Family Amphitheater will host a Christmas event Thursday. The main attraction will be Santa Claus. Santa will be at the amphitheater following the Christmas parade downtown Oak Hill.

Kids will get the chance to sit on Santa's lap and get a picture taken with him. Organizers say it's going to be a good time for everyone.

"We're tickled to death. We're glad the city decided to hand out the awards at the amphitheater and that Santa Claus does have time out of his busy schedule now to stop by and meet with children and the business have offered to come up to give out cookies. We're ticked. We think it'll be a great thing for the city, great for the children and we're looking forward to it tomorrow," said Mike Lively.

An award ceremony for a float's contest along with Santa will be at the main street venue immediately following Oak Hill's parade. The Christmas parade is scheduled for Thursday evening at 6.
