Montcalm man sentenced to four years

BLUEFIELD - A Mercer County man was sentenced to four years in jail after he plead guilty to a federal drug charge earlier this year.

Matthew Pigg, 27, of Montcalm, previously pleaded guilty to possession of hydromorphone with the intent to distribute.  According to U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin, police executed a search warrant on Pigg's residence back in February and found hydromorphone pills hidden in his bedroom and a loaded .38 caliber pistol.

This case was brought froward by the Bluefield Pill Initiative.
