Local artists love to share their inspiration with the public and keep them shopping locally.

FAYETTEVILLE - The Musical Grounds European Coffee House in Fayetteville hosted an art show on Friday that features the work of local artists. Print, stained glass, jewelry, pottery, as well as paintings were on display as their creators talked about what inspires them. Event Organizer, Stephanie Danz, said this is not just her business but her avocation.

She wanted to feature all forms of art at the show and present to the community what their local artists have to offer. She said that artists love to create from what they see around them. Danz encouraged others to be a part of what they create and shop from local vendors over big stores.

"The river is what brought me here 23, almost 24 years ago but I've been coming here since the early 70's and I just love it. So that's my inspiration. No matter what the season, the river is always beautiful. I love it as an alternative to shopping in the big stores. This gives us all a little bit of intimacy. You get to come, you get to meet the artist. You get to actually talk to the person who made the item that you're buying or taking home," said Danz.

The art show will be hosted at the musical grounds european coffee house Saturday from 10AM to 1 PM.
